Operation Sahel Sanity has relaunched agricultural activities in the North West

The Emir of Gusau in Zamfara State, Alhaji Ibrahim Bello, commended the Nigerian military for carrying out Operation Sahel Sanity, as it allowed agricultural activities to return to most parts of the northwest and from the north-central part of the country.

The emir praised Friday when he visited the Nigerian army’s Super Camp IV in Faskari to assess Operation Sahel Sanity coordinated by the Nigerian army from the camp.

He said Operation Sahel Sanity has restored a high level of normalcy in almost all areas of Zamfara, allowing farmers to return to their farmland to cultivate.

Alhaji Bello lamented before the start of operations, most of the farmers were unable to cultivate as the farmland was until now a no-go zone due to the nefarious activities of bandits, kidnappers and cattle thieves.

The emir assures that traditional rulers in the northwest and other parts of the country will continue to support the security agencies in their attempt to curb all criminal activity in the country.

“We will continue to give the Nigerian military and other security agencies the moral and spiritual support necessary for them to be successful in the fight against bandits and other evil elements in society,” he said. .

He added that the Emirate of Gusau is working tirelessly to ensure that bad eggs are not allowed in society.

The Chief of Staff of the Army (COAS), Lieutenant General Yusuf Tukur Buratai assures that the Nigerian army will not give in to its commitments to protect the sovereignty of the country.
