Wayne Farms, LLC recalls ready-to-eat chicken breast fillet products that may be undercooked


WASHINGTON, April 29, 2022 – Wayne Farms, LLC., a Decatur, Ala. facility, is recalling approximately 30,285 pounds of a Ready-to-Eat (RTE) chicken breast tenderloin product that may be undercooked, the Department announced. US Department of Agriculture. The Security and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today.

RTE Chicken Breast Fillet products were manufactured on March 1 and 21, 2022. The following products are being recalled [view labels]:

  • 9 lbs. cases containing 8 packs of 6 oz “ALL NATURAL FIRE GRILLED CHICKEN BREAST” with “use by” date 05/30/22
  • 9 lbs. cases containing 12 x 4 oz packetsALL NATURAL FIRE GRILLED CHICKEN BREAST” with best before date 6/19/22

The recalled products bear the establishment number “EST. 20214” on the case. These items were shipped to These items were shipped to a distributor in Illinois and then distributed to restaurants.

The problem was discovered when the company received a customer complaint that the RTE chicken product seemed undercooked.

There have been no confirmed reports of adverse effects due to the consumption of these products. Anyone concerned about injury or illness should contact a health care provider.

FSIS is concerned that some products may be in the freezers or refrigerators of distributors or restaurants. Restaurants are asked not to serve these products. These products should be discarded or returned to the place of purchase.

FSIS regularly conducts recall effectiveness checks to verify that recalling companies are notifying their customers of the recall and that steps are being taken to ensure that the product is no longer available to consumers. When available, retail distribution lists will be posted on the FSIS website at www.fsis.usda.gov/recalls.
