Why are natural products better for your health?

While there have always been people who choose to use only natural products no matter the cost or effort involved, this idea has become much more mainstream in recent years. All-natural products, whether household items (like dish sponges or cleansers), personal care items (like soaps or arnica products), or food, are the best items you can choose to use for a number of reasons. Choosing natural products that are housed in as little single-use packaging as possible like plastic and aluminum foil is good for the planet but also for your health! Let’s take a look at why it’s best to use all-natural products.

Your body needs all the help it can get to fight off harmful germs. Eating natural foods is a surefire way to improve the functionality of your immune system. Natural compounds work with your body’s chemistry to boost your immune system and ward off disease. Non-organic foods can fill you up, but the best way to give your body the nourishment it really needs is to use natural food products, and the best way to boost your immune system is through natural food. Natural foods that support immune function include citrus fruits, broccoli, garlic, ginger, spinach, and yogurt.

If you don’t want to swallow chemicals or synthetic compounds in the form of pain relievers and anti-inflammatory pills, natural foods are the best way to reduce inflammation and increase your mobility. If you eat all-natural foods, that means you’ve chosen organic products that are never sprayed with chemical pesticides. Pesticides are incredibly harmful to soil and can impact its viability for future crops. These pesticides also harm the health of communities that use potentially contaminated water sources near farms. Producing agriculture without chemical pesticides is best for the earth, but it’s also better for you. The effects of pesticides on the human body can range from rashes, blisters, nausea, blindness and diarrhea to cancer, birth defects, reproductive defects, neurological toxicity and worse. The young and the elderly or infirm are particularly susceptible to these and other side effects of pesticide poisoning, whether from ingesting sprayed food or living in an area adjacent to sprayed fields or contaminated water sources. Choose health for yourself and for farm workers and their communities by choosing all-natural foods.
